When we need a day out what nicer place to go than the Lake District. On Saturday we managed to escape for the day and this is where we ended up.... our first stop was Ullswater...
if it's a nice day then we normally take a picnic and sit alongside the lake with this wonderful view while the dogs play happily in the water... but on this trip...
we carried on to Ambleside to meet friends where the 'Inn on the Lake' beckoned!!!...
and our trip home took us through some wonderful scenery too...
A lovely and much needed chill out day and one which we will be repeating again as soon as we can.
